The five Australian agencies identified as core partners of the ACEDP include: the National Water Commission; the Department of the Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities; the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; the Murray Darling Basin Authority; and the Commonwealth Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation. The Australian Government Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency joined as an observer later.
