The five Australian agencies identified as core partners of the ACEDP include: the National Water Commission; the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts; the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry; the Murray Darling Basin Authority; and the Commonwealth Scientific & Industrial Research Organisation.

National Water Commission: The Australian Government National Water Commission is the lead agency for driving national water reform under the National Water Initiative - Australia's blueprint for how water will be managed into the future.
