Jointly held by ACEDP and NDRC ICC, the 1st Donor Network Meeting on Lake Tai initiated on January 16th 2009. 

Representatives from AusAID, World Bank and Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands participated the meeting. ACEDP Program Manager Gunther Mau introduced the background of ACEDP and the purpose of the donor network meeting, which is for information sharing, exploring opportunities for co-funding and avoiding overlapping. Mr. Huo Enquan, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Center of NDRC shared the view of the China National Lake Tai Restoration Plan and national priorities on Lake Tai issues.

It had a good communication on specific activities of each donor including ACEDP funded Lake Tai Water Pollution Treatment Project, World Bank Lake Tai Wetland Loan Project and initiatives of Embassy of Kingdom of Netherlands. The participants favored this platform and agreed to continue the meeting on an as needed basis.
