Final Workshop for Applicability of Australia Total Channel Control Technology in China Project
The final dissemination seminar of the project was held on 23 December 2011 in Beijing with participation of over 30 people from the Ministry of Water Resources, China Irrigation and Drainage Development Centre, ACEDP PCO and the Australian technology supplier, Melbourne based RUBICON Pty Ltd. Representatives from the pilot area in Qingtongxia of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and other potential TCC users attended as well.
The project team presented a report on TCC application and its suitability to Chinese situations. People from the pilot areas introduced the project implementation process, the equipment status and problems encountered. The participants agreed that the project was successfully executed and there would be a considerable potential for the TCC to be promoted in other irrigation areas in China, if the technology can be further improved on the basis of the results and advices coming from this project.
